These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Contact Collector App (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is intended for:

Collecting contact information
Managing personal/business contacts
Optionally syncing those contacts to your Google Contacts

The App is provided as-is without warranties.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for unlawful purposes
Use the App to store or transmit harmful content
Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or bypass App functionality
Use the Google Contacts sync functionality to send spam or unsolicited communications

3. Google Account & OAuth Permission

If you choose to sign in with Google:

You grant the App permission to access your Google Contacts
You may revoke access at any time
You are responsible for following Google account security practices

Your Google OAuth token is stored only in memory and not persisted.

4. Data Storage & Responsibility

All contact data is stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for maintaining:

The security of your device
The privacy of your stored data
Your backups (via export features)

We do not store or back up any of your information.

5. No Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” with no warranties or guarantees of any kind.
We do not guarantee:

Error-free performance
Availability
Compatibility with all devices or browsers
Prevention of data loss

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

are not liable for:

Loss of data
Security breaches affecting your device
Errors caused by user modifications
Damage resulting from improper use

7. Termination

We may terminate or limit access to the App if:

You violate these Terms
You misuse the Google Contacts API
You attempt to circumvent security or authorization

8. Updates

We may update or modify the App or these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
